Project Description: Construction of sewer rising main
Site Location: Bateau Bay, NSW
Main machine: Crane, hdpe fusion machine, fusion machines, excavator
The project included the construction of 3 stages of rising main by way of open trench excavation and horizontal directional drilling. The rising main comprised of pipe diameters ranging from 63mm – 180mm variety of classes and material types.
The scope of works included:
• Excavating in all classes of material including excavation support, backfill and compaction
• Environmental protection
• Excavate over 180mm NS PN16 polyethylene PE80B existing reclaimed water main
• Lay and join rising mains installed by directional drilling technicals
• Supply and installation of concrete thrust block
• Restoration of grassed areas – seeded and turfed
• Supply and place imported material for backfill including disposal of surplus non
corrosive and select material
• Stage 1 - 2.6 km from Bateau Bay sew course
• Stage 2 – Design and installation of Tuggerah Lakes golf course to Toowoon Bay Surf Club
• Stage 3 – Design and installation of Tuggerah Lakes golf course to Jubilee park
