Project Description: Design and construction of a recycled water reticulation system
Site Location: Kincumber, NSW
Main machines: crane, hdpe fusion machine, fusion machine
The PVC pipeline was fitted with a series of stop valves, enabling the system to pull from either tank individually or simultaneously from both tanks. Te detailed design of the installation methodology ensured that Phase Two was completed, ahead of time and well within budget.
The scope of works included:
• The design and installation of 5km of recycled water reticulation system for the irrigation of local sporting fields, the local school and various other industrial uses
• Installation methodology for a 100kl fibreglass tank to be craned into place and connected to an existing 60kl chlorine tank via a 150mm PVC pipeline fitted with a series of stop valves
• A GUNDFOS hydro booster station was installed consisting of a three pump variable speed
pressure system with three vertical multistage pumps mounted onto a base within valving, pipe work and control panel
•SCADA Telemetry was installed to monitor water levels of the tanks via a pressure transducer located between the 100kl tank and the GRUNDFOS pump set. SCADA alsomonitors the water flow by the end user via an ABB flow meter. Flows checked every second to provide daily, monthly, annual flow reports.
